Teddy Bears, Artist Designs, OOAK

I have recently moved to the city! Quite a change of scenery for this country girl.

I began making bears many years ago, but only as something to do every now and then...and boy did it show!  I began by using other peoples patterns and these bears were given to family members as gifts. Bear making got put on the back burner for a few years when I had my four children, but I always had some sort of craft project going. I have dabbled in Paper Tole, Quilling, Scrapbooking, Sewing, Cross Stitch and Needlepoint, Painting, Drawing, and various forms of Beading. Teddy Bear making is my first love though, and once my boys were a little older I came back and began designing my own bears.....  

I decided to throw myself into the whole bear scene about a two years ago, and haven't looked back really.  I now design and hand sew each and every bear you will see here.  Each new bear gives me inspiration for the next and no two are ever the same. I believe you get what you pay for in most cases and so I source my fabrics, threads and eyes, joints etc from all over the world to ensure the end product is of the highest standard.

I am very lucky to have the support and encouragement of my 4 boys, and my extended family.

I am constantly inspired by the wealth of talent out there in bear artist land and admire the work of many well known, and some completely unknown artists!
